What will I learn?

The International Advanced Diploma in Network and Computer Security is designed to train students to administer local and wide area network, enforce security policies and procedure in software development as well as network infrastructure design and monitoring. A key area of focus is on web application security. The programme equips students with a strong academic knowledge and skills that aims to support them in the pursuit of a career as a network administration/security specialist.

Delivery model

Combination of lectures, tutorials and workshops in a classroom environment at Informatics Academy campus. Lessons are typically in blocks of 3-hour sessions.

Graduation Requirement

Upon successful completion of all modules, students will be eligible for the International Advanced Diploma in Network and Computer Security awarded by Informatics Academy.

Pathways

Upon successful completion of the International Advanced Diploma in Network and Computer Security awarded by Informatics Academy, the student is eligible to apply for a Bachelor Degree programme in Information Technology discipline.

Entry requirements

For international students

Minimum Age: 19 years old

Academic Qualifications:

  • International Diploma in Information Technology and Communication or International Diploma in Networks and Cybersecurity or Diploma in Information Technology from Informatics; OR
  • PEI qualification that articulates into year two of University Degree programme; OR
  • Polytechnic Diploma in IT or computing related field with exemptions for direct entry to Advanced Diploma programme

English Language:

  • Certificate in Proficiency in English awarded by Informatics Academy; OR
  • GCE ‘O’ Level - C6; OR
  • IELTS 6.0 and equivalent for TOEFL (PBT) or TOEFL (iBT).

Alternative Entry

Mature candidates (30 years old and above) with 8 years relevant working experience may be considered for mature entry on a case-by-case basis.
