What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Wealth Management (MWM) is ranked first in Asia and third in the world by Financial Times in its 2018 Masters in Finance post-experience ranking. It incorporates a unique overseas experience in Switzerland and United States where you learn from top practitioners and academics, and be hosted by leading financial institutions who support this global programme.

MWM is a 12-month full-time programme designed to meet the needs of both aspiring and seasoned wealth managers who wish to deepen their skills, knowledge and expertise. The modular structure allows professionals to pursue a Master’s degree while working; and those without wealth management experience can embark on an internship to enhance their e programme’s curriculum has also incorporated the relevant examination and certification for private banking.

  • Complete within 12 months over five study blocks (2.5 weeks per study block)
  • Specialised curriculum in global wealth management with an Asian focus

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants must have: Good undergraduate degree. A good score in GMAT or SMU Admissions Test. TOEFL/ IELTS is required if the medium of instruction of your undergraduate studies was not in English. It must be taken within the last 2 years at the time of submitting your application.

For international students

The MSc in Wealth Management programme welcomes all applicants who meet the following criteria for admissions:

  • An undergraduate bachelor's degree (in any field)
  • At least 2 years of working experience in any industry (post-Bachelor’s degree)
  • A good SMU Admissions Test Score/GMAT/GRE Score.
