What will I learn?

BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance prepares you for a career in accountancy or the financial sector, and gives you a strong understanding of core business principles and practice. You’ll develop an in-depth understanding of how accounting and finance fits into the broader context of business and management, and study topics such as: Capital Markets, Investment and Finance Auditing Corporate Reporting Taxation Company Law and Administration The programme gives you solid theoretical foundations, and applies this knowledge to real-world commercial situations. You will be taught by leading academics with extensive experience in the accounting and finance sector. You will learn how to develop and apply accounting and finance strategies that enhance corporate value, and develop the techniques and understanding of specialist databases you need for a career in the accounting and finance sector.

Entry requirements

For international students

The typical offer is 112 UCAS tariff points. For A levels, this equates to BBC, with no specific subject requirements. T Level applicants are expected to achieve a Merit, also with no specific subject requirements. Those studying a BTEC Extended Diploma should aim for DMM, and again, there are no specific subject requirements. Applicants on Access Programmes must meet the UCAS tariff of 112 points, with no specific subject requirements. For the International Baccalaureate, 112 points are required, including at least two Higher Level subjects, plus a minimum of HL 3 or SL 4 in Maths. Additionally, all applicants must have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or 4 (or accepted equivalents).
