What will I learn?

Our Adult Nursing degree is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to pursue a rewarding profession in the healthcare field as a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered adult nurse. Study split 50/50 between theory and clinical practice to ensure that you have both academic knowledge and hands-on experience. You will have access to a variety of work placements offered by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) throughout your degree to develop your knowledge, skills, practical experience, and employability. Whilst working in the clinical environment, our experienced practice educators, academic assessors, practice supervisors, and practice assessors will offer you personalised support and guidance, contributing to your professional growth in the nursing field.

Entry requirements

For international students

You must have at least five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English, Maths (or equivalent) and evidence of IT skills. The academic requirements for the course are 96-112 UCAS tariff points at GCE A-level or equivalent. Alternatively, you must have one of the following: NVQ 3 (with evidence of English, Maths and ICT as above) or Completion of either the ‘Access to Health or ‘Access to Nursing (from an accepted Further Education College approved by either Agored Cymru or OCN North West England (QAA approved) achieved at the following level: 112 UCAS tariff points. In addition: Evidence of study within the past five years (contact us if youre unsure as one of our short courses may be appropriate). Interviews are carried out on Teams with academic staff, service users and/or staff from NHS. Experience of working in a health or social care setting is valuable. An IELTS examination will be requested if deemed necessary, with an overall score of 7 being required for entry onto the programme in line with university and professional body requirements.
