The knowledge and experiential skills you achieve on this course will pave the way for a career in medical research, hospital and government laboratories, pharmaceutical and biotechnological research and development, like it has for many of our graduates.So, our degree course will give you the first-class academic knowledge and the essential lab skills you need to kick-start your future in Biomedical Science.Our aim is to ensure you understand the complex science behind the cause, consequence, diagnosis and treatment of disease, ready to step into a career.Year 1 & 2: You'll learn about cellular pathology, molecular genetics, the human immune system and biochemical pathways whilst using up-to-date equipment in our new laboratories.Year 3: You will delve into Bioethics and also have the opportunity to further your knowledge in the field of clinical biochemistry, Haematology and Transfusion Science You will also research and produce a dissertation.
