All assessments used in the course are in perfect alignment with QH8 using the formal descriptors as descripted in the policy. The method used will depend on the nature of the subject being taught in the unit and the most appropriate method is chosen.Students will also have the opportunity to engage into formative assessment throughout the course especially during exercises in the practical sessions where feedback on progress and performance will be given by their tutors for each of the tasks allocated. The assessment strategy for this course is designed around a holistic evaluation on knowledge and skills acquired with strong emphasis on the requirements for this mode of delivery and diverse skills background and expectations of the target audience.The feedback on your submitted assessments will be provided within 15 working days. The lecturers are expected to take every effort to provide you the feedback as early as possible before the next assessment if any. If you fail an assessment and need to retake or resit the assessment you can do so in the next available opportunity which is normally in the assessment week of the next block. If you fail a unit and need to retake this unit you can do so when the unit is run again.CareersOn completing this course you are likely to progress into a career in the following areas: security associate security analyst information security and risk practitioner penetration tester security architect intrusion analyst DR/BCP manager or security auditor.As a graduate of this course you will also have the opportunity for further study at MSc by Research or PhD level.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need 2.2 honours degree or equivalent in a related subject area. IELTS overall score of 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each element, TOEFL iBT - Listening: 17, Reading: 18, Speaking: 20, Writing: 17.
