This course offers the opportunity for a Foundation Year, a Year in Industry or a Year Abroad.If you do not have the required subjects or grades to enrol on BEng General Engineering, you can apply for our BEng General Engineering with a Foundation Year. On completion of your Foundation Year, you can progress onto BEng Engineering.You will learn about emerging industries such as robotics, automation and additive manufacturingLearn about the impact of engineering on society, Explore creative design, Hands-on experience in engineering designLearn about managing in a digital worldWork collaboratively with industry partners and students from Texas A&M on global engineering designGo deeper into a chosen subject with the option to specialise in Manufacturing or Engineering ManagementThere are a range of careers available to graduates with an BEng Engineering degree, including advanced manufacture, robotics, automation engineers, data scientist, software engineering. Demand for this advanced and integrated skillset continues to grow as technology advances.The degree is a fantastic launchpad for creating a start-up business and launching innovative smart products. Entry requirements

For international students

For A level or IB students, our standard offer is BCC at A level, or 26 at IB.Students studying for BTEC or other vocational qualifications, who might not have the right pre-requisite Mathematical background for Year 1 entry, may also apply for this scheme. BTEC entry requirements for the Foundation Year are DDD, with D in all Mathematics modules.All applicants are also expected to hold minimum B grades at GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and all sciences, including at least two A grades.Mature students with relevant work experience, or access courses with a good mathematical and science content, are also considered for this scheme; an interview may be required. 32 UCAS tariff points at a minimum of GCE AS level. For subjects in Accounting and Finance, a minimum Grade C Maths GCSE is required
