Summary

Why BA Geography?

Population, migration, conflict, development, global crime, health and ageing. These present some of the most pressing social challenges of this century, are inherently geographical in nature and are the focus of our BA Geography degree. With this world view, breadth of content and the development of an extensive range of research skills, Geographers continue to be one of the most sought-after graduates across a vast range of employment sectors. At the University of Gloucestershire on this Royal Geographical Society-accredited degree, you'll progress from field training in the UK to field research overseas, forging unforgettable field experiences with us in the landscapes of Europe, Africa and the Americas. The flexibility of our degree programmes means that you have the option to select Physical Geography themes on our companion BSc course or indeed switch to the BSc up until the end of Year 2. You can also choose to benefit from invaluable employment experiences though our internship and sandwich degree options, gaining a competitive edge of experience, networking with potential employers and gaining academic credit towards your degree, all at the same time.
