What will I learn?

This is a four-year degree programme that is focused on mathematical and statistical approaches for quantitative management. Mathematics and statistics are core to most modern-day science and have important applications in industry and commerce. The concepts introduced in this pathway span from deriving sound inference from limited or large amounts of data to the mathematical modelling and solution to problems in the organisation and management of complex systems in industry and commerce. The skills acquired include formulating problems in mathematical and/or statistical terms, and expressing solutions in a form intelligible to lay people.

Entry requirements

For international students

A Level: AAA including Mathematics, OR, A* (Mathematics) AB, A maximum of one BTEC/OCR Single Award or AQA Extended Certificate will be accepted as part of an applicant's portfolio of qualifications with a Distinction* being equated to a grade A at A-level and a Distinction being equated to a grade B at A-level; International Baccalerate Diploma: 36 points overall including 6,6,6 at Higher Level including Mathematics; Graduate: A minimum of a 2:2 Honours Degree, provided any subject requirement is also met; All applicants must have GCSE English Language grade C/4 or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the University.
