Introduction

Develop your skills in mobile game design, from planning and project work to QA and implementation, with our Mobile Game Design and Development degree at ARU Peterborough.

Whether you have previous experience or not, our Mobile Game Design and Development course provides a range of industry-relevant skills in mobile game development, ranging from character design to environment design workflows.

From the very beginning of your studies, you’ll start to create and develop your own mobile games. Everything you design will build a valuable portfolio to help launch your career in the gaming industry when you graduate from ARU Peterborough.

Assessment
Throughout the course, we’ll use a range of assessment methods to help measure your progress. You’ll demonstrate your learning through the mobile games and assets you produce, but there will also be a mix of exams, personal learning plans and group projects.

Careers

81% of the UK computer games industry is educated to at least undergraduate level, rising to 88% for core games production roles in art or programming.

Our Mobile Game Design and Development course will equip you with a range of programming skills that will help you stand out with games companies. Or you can consider establishing yourself as a freelance designer – perhaps opening your own independent studio.

At ARU Peterborough you’ll be taught by industry experts from Year 1, making connections and ensuring that you develop relevant employability skills.

Every year, ARU runs and hosts the annual Brains Eden computer games careers event which offers opportunities for professionals and students alike.

Grades AAA at A level taken within two academic years prior to the time of application to include Chemistry or Biology; and one of either Biology, Chemistry, Maths or Physics, plus one other.A Level resit grades at AAA will be accepted taken within two academic years prior to the time of application.
