What will I learn?

It’s an industry that allows you to work at the cutting edge of automotive technology. This course will give you the skills necessary to support motorsport engineers as they push the boundaries and strive for optimum vehicle performance. Benefiting from world-class expertise and facilities, you’ll study a wide range of modules, including the fundamentals of vehicle and engine design, as well as high-tech computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques. You’ll also have the unique chance to work with engineering students in designing, building and racing a Formula Student race car.Graduates have the flexibility to gain employment within the automotive sector working in specialist laboratories and test facilities or specialisation in CAD/CAM to make high-performance automotive products however, the breadth and flexibility of this course will also open doors to careers in other branches of engineering, computing or business with graduates using their knowledge and skills to be employed in the amateur side of the sport.Duration- 3 years(4 year with sandwich year)Study abroad optionWork placement option

Entry requirements

For international students

UCAS points- 104-112 A Level - BCC-BBC - minimum of two A Levels BTEC - DMM - Diploma in engineering or technology based IB- 104-112 points- From a minimum of 2 HL subjects at grade 4 or above. GCSE: Grade 4/C in English language and 4/C in mathematics. IELTS - Score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band) TOEFL IBT - 72 with band scores of reading 18, writing 17, listening 17, speaking 20, Pearson Test of English (PTE) - 51 (with no less than 42 in any band)
