Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students need an honours degree from a recognised institution in the USA with a GPA of at least: 2.8 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for entry to programmes with a 2:2 requirement; 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for entry to programmes with a 2:1 requirement.

For international students

A good Honours degree (2:1 or higher) or postgraduate diploma from a UK university or equivalent. You must have achieved a mark equivalent to a 2:1 (or overseas equivalent) at bachelor’s level in several Accounting and Finance modules including Financial Accounting or Financial Reporting, and Finance or Financial Management. You must also have successfully completed the nine ACCA Fundamentals assessments, either by exam or exemption from a bachelor’s degree. If you have not completed the nine papers at the point of application, but you are expecting to have done so prior to the MSc programme commencing, please indicate this in your application. If you are made an offer to study the MSc programme, and you have not completed the nine papers at that point, evidence of completion by a stated date will be one of your conditions of offer. Students need to have an IELTS 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any band is equivalent to: TOEFL: 95 overall with no less than 22 in any band; Pearson Test of English (PTE): PTE Academic 67 in all four skills; Cambridge English (exams taken from 2015): Advanced or Proficiency – minimum overall score of 185, with no less than 176 in any component.
