What will I learn?

Explore Earth's history through fossils and rocks, understanding ancient life from dinosaurs to microfossils. This course blends fieldwork and scientific study to equip you with skills for environmental challenges and careers in research, conservation, or resource management. As part of the MSci, you'll complete a research project, a field module with an international trip (usually to Crete), and choose two optional Earth Sciences modules to specialise further. Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are expected to meet the following academic entry requirements: A Level with grades AAB, including at least one required science subject; International Baccalaureate (IB) with grades 6,6,5 at Higher Level and 32 points overall, including one Higher Level required science; or a BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma, or Subsidiary/Extended Certificate, which are accepted on a case-by-case basis. A total of three A Levels is required. Accepted science subjects include Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Electronics, Environmental Studies, Further Mathematics, Geography, Geology, Human Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, Statistics, and Physical Education. General Studies is not accepted, although a strong performance may be considered if applicants narrowly miss the conditions of the offer.
