What will I learn?

Understand the processes that created the physical world in this practical, BSc Physical Geography course. You’ll explore specialist scientific subjects such as ecology and geology from the start of your studies. This course will prepare you for work in a range of fields, including environmental management or engineering. Explore a range of physical environments as you study current and future sustainability challenges. You’ll learn how to 'read' a landscape, analyse geographical data and use satellite images to understand our dynamic and changeable world.

Entry requirements

For international students

A-levels: AAB if no preferred subjects are included or ABB with one or more preferred subjects. International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 34 points overall (17 at Higher Level) if no preferred subject taken at Higher Level, or 32 points (16 at Higher Level) with one or more preferred subjects (Geography, Biology, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Environmental Science, Geology or Politics). RQF/QCF BTEC: DDD in the Extended Diploma; DD in the Diploma plus A in an A-level; DD in the Diploma plus B in a preferred A-level; D in the Subsidiary Diploma plus AA in two A-levels; or D in the Subsidiary Diploma plus AB in two A-levels including one preferred subject. GCSE requirements: English Language (or English), Mathematics and Science at minimum grade C/4.
