Entry requirements

For international students

A Level: AAB including Mathematics and Physics, excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking, OR ABB including Mathematics and Physics if a third A level is from: Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Geography, History and Modern/Classical Languages or grade 2 in any STEP paper.

IB: 34 points with Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) and Physics at Higher Level grade 6.

Scottish: AAABB (combination of Highers and Advanced Highers) with AB at Advanced Higher.

Irish Leaving Certificate: Candidates will be considered on an individual basis.

Access Qualifications: 45 level 3 credits at distinction including Mathematical Studies and Physics. A Newcastle University Mathematics and Statistics pre-entry course may also be required.
