Pre-Masters: Education, Media and Social Sciences

For entry to a postgraduate degree at the University of York. Your course length is determined mainly by your English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent).

All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If your course is longer than 2 terms, you’ll take extra modules designed to improve your English language level, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

Academic Entry Requirements: Successful completion of an undergraduate degree or diploma (Grades and relevant background requirements vary dependant on the university degree and pathway course). IELTS 5.0 (at least 4.5 in all skills).
