Entry requirements
For international students
Applicants must meet the Scottish Highers standard entry requirements of BCC (69 UCAS Tariff points), including a Science subject (Biology preferred) or Physical Education (PE). The minimum entry requirements are CCC (63 UCAS Tariff points), also including a Science subject (Biology preferred) or PE. Alternatively, applicants with CC (42 UCAS Tariff points), including a Science subject (Biology preferred) or PE, may qualify if they have successfully completed one of the following: UWS Foundation Academy, Foundation Apprenticeship, UWS Next Steps to University module, Routes for All, Top-Up, or LEAPS. For A Levels, applicants need DDD (72 UCAS Tariff points) including a science subject (Biology preferred) or PE. Those presenting full T Levels must have achieved Grade P (A*–C) with 96 UCAS Tariff points in a relevant subject. Applicants with the Irish Leaving Certificate require H3 H4 H4 H4, including a science subject (Biology preferred) or PE. For the International Baccalaureate Diploma, 24 points are required including three subjects at H4, with one being a science (Biology preferred). Accepted SQA HNC qualifications include Fitness, Health & Exercise, Applied Sports Science, Applied Sports & Exercise Science, Physical Activity & Health, or Sports Therapy with a B in the Graded Unit. SQA HND qualification in Sport Coaching & Development with grade B is also accepted. Additional pathways include the Scottish Wider Access Programme with Access to STEM (BBB), Access to Life Sciences (BBB), Access to Humanities (BBB), or Access to Health & Biological Science (BBB).
