What will I learn?

The BSc Web & Mobile Development will equip you with the skills to design, develop, and maintain secure web services and mobile applications that harness the capabilities of the internet. Using the latest tools, techniques, and scripting languages, you’ll develop expertise in systems design and analysis and learn how to develop responsive, interactive, and secure web and mobile solutions. The practical skills you learn will allow you to establish and manage secure web servers and create and maintain appropriate web material. With a strong practical focus, the degree has strong industry links, offers opportunities to undertake work placements, and incorporates guest speakers, company visits, and networking events with employers. Opportunities to study abroad are also available.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are expected to meet one of the following entry requirements: for Scottish Highers, standard entry requires BCCC (90 UCAS Tariff points), and minimum entry requires CCC (63 UCAS Tariff points). Alternatively, applicants may be considered with CC (42 UCAS Tariff points) plus successful completion of one of the following: UWS Foundation Academy, Foundation Apprenticeship, UWS Next Steps to University module, Routes for All, Top-Up, or LEAPS. For A Levels, a typical offer is CCD (88 UCAS Tariff points). Applicants with a full T Level qualification must hold Grade P (A*–C), which carries 96 UCAS Tariff points. The Irish Leaving Certificate requirement is H3H3H3H4, and the International Baccalaureate requirement is 24 points. Applicants from the Scottish Wider Access Programme should hold Access to STEM with grades BBB.
