In your first year, you will develop programming skills and the ability to work with existing data. Additionally, you will gain a critical understanding of digital media and skills in image editing and developing website prototypes. Throughout the degree, you will continue to hone software development and data analysis skills. You will also understand what makes a positive, engaging and impactful website or mobile app for users.After the first year, you can take optional modules based on your career ambitions, such as strategic digital communication, digital gaming, animation and creativity, project management and digital storytelling. You will also learn core cyber security skills related to organisational resilience.**Career opportunities**We embed employability in computing programmes throughout the curriculum, focusing on project-based assessments that simulate real-life scenarios. Our collaborative approach, team working modules, and Final Year Project demonstrate our project-based approach to learning. Our method prepares you to enter the software development or web/mobile design industries.
