What will I learn?

The Master of Accounting Science (MAS) program at Gies College of Business is a nine-month, STEM-designated program for students who already hold a bachelor of science in accountancy. Our world-renowned faculty teach in an approachable setting with a 22:1 student-faculty ratio. Our dynamic curriculum, including a robust data analytics program, will prepare you to sit for the CPA exam with confidence. Beyond the curriculum, you will develop leadership skills through hands-on learning opportunities that confront real-world problems. You will also join an alumni base that places more partners in the Big Four accounting firms than any other university. Our graduates are part of a dynamic, collaborative community that extends beyond the classroom to a network of professional accountants and business leaders around the world, so they know what it means to be a leader in the profession. Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants are required to have the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. They should have earned a minimum grade average of “B,” or the equivalent, in the last two years of undergraduate study.

For international students

Applicants must have earned at least a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college in the United States or a comparable degree from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad. A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (A=4.0), or comparable GPA for an international applicant, for last two years of undergraduate study is a minimum requirement for admission.

TOEFL iBT - 79-102

TOEFL CBT - 213-253

TOEFL PBT - 550-610

IELTS (academic exam) - 6.5-7.0

Admission to a concentration requires application to the Department no later than February 1 for fall admission.
