What will I learn?

In the Master of Engineering in Advanced Manufacturing program students will explore the latest technologies, such as digital manufacturing and additive manufacturing, as well as learn more traditional hardware-based methodologies. As many companies in the automotive, aerospace, and chemical industries, for example, are advancing standard manufacturing practices to include innovative technology, students will be prepared to address challenges and excel in today's competitive business market.

Courses in the additive manufacturing specialization will cover such topics as advanced materials processing, computer-aided design, and advanced CAD/CAM. Core program requirements include computer-integrated manufacturing technologies, design optimization cycle, and statistical process and quality control.

Entry requirements

For international students

Illinois Tech requires a four-year bachelor's degree conferred with a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0/4.0 (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution for regular admission. Individual departments may have different requirements, however.
