What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Arts degree offers concentrations in General Studio Art and Teaching. These programs provide opportunities for students to creatively express personal experience and thought with visual skill and clarity develop knowledge and technical skills necessary to pursue advanced studies and to teach art and to develop the expertise to become arts professionals. The Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Fine Arts programs provide comprehensive learning environments that contribute conceptually and technically to the development of the art historian, visual artist and art educator. Specifically, the programs provide opportunities for students to: develop a knowledge and understanding of fundamental visual experiences and concepts basic to many forms and fields of art develop a critical appreciation of historical and contemporary art forms as they relate to individual and social needs and values demonstrate the ability to creatively express personal comprehension and thought with visual skill and clarity develop awareness and abilities necessary to pursue graduate studies in visual arts and demonstrate an understanding and expertise applicable to professional practices in the arts.

Entry requirements

For international students

First-year students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Be a high school graduate or equivalent.

Complete the 15-unit comprehensive “A-G” pattern with a grade of C- or better by high school graduation.

"A-G" requirement may not be completed during the summer term prior to fall enrolment.

Earn a competitive Multi Factor Admission Score (MFAS)

You can demonstrate English Language Proficiency by meeting the following exam benchmarks.

TOEFL iBT (including paper, home): 61

IELTS Academic Test: 5.5

PTE Academic Test: 43
