What will I learn?

The Radiologic Technologist captures images of human anatomy utilizing digital, x-ray film, or video for diagnostic use by a radiologist or other medical specialist. Graduates of the program are eligible for examination by the American Registry of Radiologist Technologists. Successful applicants have the right to use the title ''Registered Radiologic Technologist'' (RT)(R)(ARRT). In order to practice in California, the R.T. must also apply for licensure by the Department of Health Services in Sacramento. Completion of the Associate in Science degree a program qualifies the student for eligibility for the state C.R.T. Examination.

Entry requirements

For international students

Admission to Orange Coast College is granted to those applicants who meet at least one of the following requirements:

High school graduation.

Certificate of Proficiency or a G.E.D. from the State of California.

Attainment of 18 years of age and who, in the judgment of college officials, is capable of profiting from instruction at our college.

Enrolment between the 9th to 12th grade and recommendation for advanced academic or vocational college level study.

English proficiency tests:

A valid test result should not be older than 2-years from the date an application for admission is submitted.

Duolingo Test for English – 90; TOEFL - Internet-Based 61 or Paper Based 500 (TOEFL code: 4584); IELTS - 5.5; Eiken - 2A (if the score is a 2, a minimum raw score of 2150); iTEP - 3.5; PTE (Pearsons Test for English) Academic – 45; Michigan English Test (MET) - B2; Cambridge English Language Assessment - B2; GTEC CBT – 1051
