The CSUF Athletic Training Program (ATP) is a full-time professional program that prepares students to become athletic trainers (AT). The American Medical Association recognizes athletic training as a healthcare profession. Students will complete traditional didactic coursework and concurrent clinical education experiences, emphasizing clinical reasoning skills that encompass the prevention, diagnosis and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities.
Upon successfully completing the ATP, students earn a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) degree and are eligible to take the Board of Certification (BOC, Inc.) exam and earn the ATC credential.
