What will I learn?

Students who wish to prepare for careers as science teachers at the secondary school level may choose the science teaching major. This major is designed to meet the Indiana requirements for teaching licensure in one of the following areas: biology (life sciences), earth/space sciences, chemistry, and physics. In addition to completing the science teaching major requirements, students must complete the secondary education minor to pursue a teaching license.

For students from United States

Applicants must have earned a diploma from an accredited high school, but never attended a college or university before (other than ESL). English Language Requirements: TOEFL (Internet based) - 71, TOEFL (Paper based) - 55, TOEFL (Computerized) - 197; IELTS - 6; Cambridge English (Advanced) - Minimum grade C; ELS Completion Level 112; APIEL 3.

For international students

Students with high school or equivalent degrees. Grade Point Average requirements: Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

TOEFL (iBT) – 71, TOEFL (Computerized) – 197, IELTS – 6, Cambridge English (Advanced) - Minimum grade C.
