What will I learn?

The agricultural education major is for the student who desires to teach agriculture in a school setting. State of the art facilities await students who choose the agricultural education major at SAU. After completing the general education requirements, students focus on courses in agriculture and education. Admission to the Teacher Education Program is required.

The Agriculture program at SAU has highly trained, award-winning and motivated faculty who challenge our students, and help them to achieve their goals in a friendly environment that encourages conceptual thinking. We strive to provide as many diverse learning experiences as possible and the advantage to interface with the complexities of the industry of Agriculture.

Educator Preparation Provider (EPP) Conceptual Framework: Attaining Educational Achievement through Collaboration and Reflection

The mission of the education Educator Preparation Program is to prepare candidates who attain educational achievement through collaboration and reflection. To that end the education preparation program (including content departments), collaborates with K-12 schools, Educational Service Cooperatives, Educational Renewal Zones and other local, state, and national organizations to inculcate high standards of educational achievement for all students. The program engages pre-service and in-service teachers, administrators, counselors and other educators to excel in teaching, leadership, scholarship and service.

,p>The EPP holds the established dispositions, as described in the conceptual framework, as critical for all initial candidates pursuing a degree in the EPP.

Students must have official transcripts listing courses, examinations, grades, and marks from your high school or college/university.

For international students

Students must have official transcripts and marks from your high school or college/university. We require a 2.0 minimum GPA for all incoming freshmen Students.

Minimum English Requirements (must meet one of the following)

A score of 500 or higher on the written TOEFL

A score of 173 or higher on the computerized TOEFL

A score of 61 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL

A score of Band 5.5 (overall) on the IELTS

A score of 43 or higher on PTE (Pearson Test of English)

A score of 90 or higher on Duolingo (Accepting Temporarily)
