Azusa Pacific’s Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology shapes difference makers who care for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Exercise, movement, and sport help others thrive by improving health, fitness, and quality of life across the lifespan, and the kinesiology major equips students for a variety of careers in these areas. Students can choose from three concentrations: health professions, applied exercise science, and physical education.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports growth in many career fields related to kinesiology, including physical therapy, athletic training, exercise physiologists and fitness professionals. APU’s program helps prepare students for these careers while focusing on equipping lifelong learners who are academically engaged, relationally focused, vocationally aware, and wellness oriented through approaches that are discipline-based and grounded within a Christian worldview.
Career Options: A variety of kinesiology careers exist in a range of areas. Check out a sampling of opportunities available within the health professions, applied exercise science, and physical education. Health Professions: Athletic Training, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapist, Recreational Therapists. Applied Exercise Science: Fitness and Wellness Director, Exercise Specialist, Exercise Physiologist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Physical Education: Physical Education Teacher (elementary, secondary, high school), Athletic Coach, Sports and Recreation Manager.

Students currently enrolled in high school or who have earned fewer than 28 units of college credit following high school graduation.
International students should have obtained a TOEFL iBT sore 80 including scores of 18 in speaking, 20 in listening, 20 in reading, and 22 in writing and IELTS score 6.0.
