Summary
Business Economics is a specialized area of economics that uses economic and quantitative analysis to make strategic business, financial, and management decisions. Business economists study the allocation of scarce resources, and the resulting forces that shape our business, economy and society both locally and globally.
WHAT CAREERS CAN THIS MAJOR PREPARE YOU FOR?
An undergraduate degree in business economics can lead to many career opportunities in the public sector, financial institutions, marketing institutions, investment institutions, consulting firms, market research organizations, mergers and acquisitions departments, insurance companies, and international organizations. Business economics can serve as good preparation for graduate programs in economics, law, public administration, international affairs, management science, or business. Students should clearly define their goals and seek experiences and skills necessary to reach those goals. Samples of jobs held by CSU graduate with a finance degree include: financial analyst, economic forecaster, internal auditor, benefits analyst, claims examiner for the Social Security Administration, portfolio administrator, business analyst, bank manager, market research specialist, investment analyst, director of Finance.

Entry requirement for international students
The following admission requirements apply to students who have not completed any college-level course work after completing secondary school.
Cumulative secondary school GPA equivalent to a 2.3 on the US grading scale
Meet minimum test score requirements:
TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based): 78 and at least 17 in each section
TOEFL PBT (Paper-Based): 550
IELTS: 6.0 and at least 5.0 in each section
PTE (Pearsons Test of English): 50
Application Deadlines: Fall Semester - July 21; Spring Semester - December 10
