Finance drives decisions that shape companies, markets, and economies. The finance major at the Charlton College of Business prepares you to analyze markets, manage risk, and allocate capital in a global financial system increasingly powered by data, technology, and real-time information. You’ll develop expertise in corporate finance, investments, financial modeling, fintech, quantitative analysis, and business analytics while learning how financial professionals evaluate opportunities, make strategic decisions, and manage uncertainty in complex environments. Graduates are prepared to compete for careers in corporate finance, investment banking, asset management, financial planning, and fintech-and for pursuing professional credentials such as the CFA, CFP, and FINRA licenses that signal expertise and leadership in today’s financial industry.

Entry requirements

For international students

Submit secondary and/or post-secondary sealed official transcripts translated into English by a certified professional. Transcripts with at least three years' grades must be uploaded by school counselors. Minimum GPA requirement: 2.5. SAT/ACT score, letter of recommendation from a teacher or school counselor: highly recommended for our most competitive programs, such as nursing, biology, engineering, and psychology, a personal essay (up to 650 words) that demonstrates qualities of leadership, community service, work experiences and/or other significant interests; this can be completed as part of your Common Application.
