What will I learn?

CAGS in Special Education

The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) is designed for students who have completed a master's degree and wish to pursue further specialized study in the area of special education.

CAGS programs are individually designed by students in collaboration with faculty advisors and include a minimum of 32 units of coursework and completion of a comprehensive capstone project. The program can be started in the fall, spring, or summer, and will take one academic year of full-time enrollment for the completion of the coursework and capstone project. For those enrolled part-time, the program duration will vary depending on the number of units taken per term.

Students take courses and engage in independent studies with faculty within the Special Education Program, throughout the Wheelock College of Education & Human Development, and throughout Boston University in related schools and colleges.
