What will I learn?

This 16-month program is designed for individuals who already hold a bachelor's degree, but have little to no background in education. Successful completion of the program and licensure requirements will lead to a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and an M-level North Carolina teaching license and prepare educators to teach children in grades K-6. Field placements for both the main campus and distance education option occur in K-5 public education settings and require a minimum of 30 hours per semester. During the final semester, students will participate in a full-time internship under the guidance of a mentor teacher and faculty supervisor.
