Summary

With ELP, you can study either on campus at ASU or online for 8 weeks while you strengthen your English skills to meet the requirements of your admission “with deficiencies” to:

Most ASU master’s degree, except those in College of Global Futures or Walter Cronkite School of Journalism

When you pass Graduate ELP, you can progress to your ASU master’s degree.

Program content: 21 hours of class time (3 courses) per week, including 18 hours of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students in Basic and Intermediate levels also take a course in communications; those in Advanced levels take a specialization course in business, STEM or humanities.

Intakes: 5 per year (January, March, May, August, October)

Entry requirement for international students

Minimum grades in your last 60 credits of undergraduate level courses:

– Most programs – GPA 3.00

Degrees with higher minimum grades:

– MS/MCS Computer Science (all concentrations) – GPA 3.25

– MS Global Sustainability Science – GPA 3.25

– MA/MS Sustainability – GPA 3.25

– MS Industrial Engineering – GPA 3.20

– MA Religious Studies – GAP 3.30

– MSW Social Work – GPA 3.20

Many master’s programs require applicants to have an undergraduate degree in a related subject.
