The Department of Counselor Education offers master's degree programs for students who have completed bachelor's degrees and are preparing themselves for employment as school or clinical mental health counselors. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A.) and the School Counseling (M.A.Ed.) programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) under the 2009 standards and listed on the International Registry of Counselor Education Programs.

The Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is appropriate for persons who plan to counsel in mental health and agency settings and who may wish to become Licensed Professional Counselors.

A minimum of 60 semester hours is required in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program.

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Mental Health is a CACREP accredited 60 semester hour program of study. Graduates typically are employed in social service, mental health, and private practice settings. Students complete practicum and internship experiences in settings related to their career goals. The coursework content prepares students for National Counselor Certification, National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Certification and State Counselor Licensure.

The minimum score of TOEFL computer based test is 213, IELTS score is 6.0, internet based test score is 79, the minimum score of TOEIC is 670 and the minimum score of PTE is 54.
