This area of study provides students with an understanding of the various factors affecting health care policy formation, quality of care, patient safety, financial viability of health care systems, the role of health technology and ways of improving the delivery of care.

The college offers three degrees within health services management and policy: Master of Health Administration, Master of Public Health and Doctor of Philosophy.

The Master in Health Administration (MHA) degree is the most widely recognized professional preparation for those who will take leadership roles in the delivery and financing of health services.

The MHA program at Ohio State prepares students for management careers within a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, clinics, consulting, insurance as well as government agencies.

The MHA Program — guided by its student-centered mission — encompasses a carefully designed academic curriculum that combines instruction with practical experiences. Entry requirement for international students

A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate work.
