This expedited dual degree program combines two complementary fields to open up a range of career opportunities in public service.
The Suffolk MPA/JD dual degree is a chance for you to get a top-level legal education while also securing MPA at a highly ranked policy institute. This expedited program allows you to follow one of two academic tracks, so you can choose the order in which you want to complete the MPA and JD courses.
The MPA/JD combines two complementary fields and readies you for a career in law and/or public policy. Previous graduates have gone on to serve as legal counselors in all levels of government, elected and appointed law and policy-makers, and labor-management and alternative dispute negotiators.

Students enrolling in graduate programs must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or an equivalent degree granted by an institution in another country (as determined by the Office of Graduate Admission).
English language requirements
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Suffolk welcomes both the TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Essentials. To be considered for full admission, a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80, with no sub-score lower than 17, or a minimal TOEFL Essentials overall band score of 8.5, with no subsection below 8, is required; International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum score of 6.5 (with no sub-score below 6.0) is required to be considered for full admission. PTE-Academic (Pearson Test of English). A minimum score of 65 is required to be considered for full admission. Duolingo. A minimum score of 110 is required to be considered for full admission, along with the following subscores:
