What will I learn?

Prepare to pursue doctoral work in chemical or biomedical engineering or to obtain an advanced technical position in the industry. Work with our departmental faculty members on active research projects in the areas of biomaterials, biomechanics, biomedical imaging, computational thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering, catalysis, electrochemistry, environmental engineering, paper physics and chemistry, solar cells, bimolecular engineering, drug delivery, and tissue engineering.The M.S. in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering prepares students who wish to either pursue doctoral work in clinical, chemical, or biomedical engineering or to obtain an advanced technical positions in industry or in a clinical setting. The departmental faculty members have active research projects in the areas of biomaterials, biomechanics, biomedical imaging, clinical engineering, computational thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering, catalysis, electrochemistry, environmental engineering, paper physics and chemistry, solar cells, biomolecular engineering, drug delivery, and tissue engineering. This master's program offers a research-based thesis option, and a course intensive, non-thesis option.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants must have an undergraduate education in a science or engineering field.

Proof of English Proficiency: All international students must provide proof of English proficiency by meeting ONE of the following requirements: TOEFL iBT - 80; IELTS - 6.5; PTE - 54; Duolingo - 110.

Application deadline: Feb/01 for fall; Oct/01 for spring.
