What will I learn?

Train for licensure and professional counseling roles in mental health, community, human service and school settings. Degree options include mental health counseling or school counseling. Both are accredited by the Council for Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and have a strong focus on social justice and helping underserved populations.Students must complete a minimum of 60 credit hours for the mental health counseling and school counseling options. This includes 100 clock-hours of practicum and 600 hours of internship as well as a creative component portfolio that demonstrates competency. Students wishing to complete a thesis instead of a creative component must complete 66 credit hours.
