What will I learn?

The Master of Science (MS) curriculum is designed to develop new understanding through research and creativity. Students have the option to pursue a thesis or non-thesis Master of Science degree.

Credit Requirement

A minimum of 32 semester credit hours of approved courses and research is required for the thesis option Master of Science degree.

A minimum of 36 semester credit hours of approved coursework is required for the Non-Thesis Option.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Other English Language Requirements: TOEFL score of 600 (paper test); PTE Academic score of 68.

For international students

A B.A., B.S, or equivalent degree in chemistry or a degree in a closely related field with appropriate chemistry coursework is expected.
Undergraduate research experience is expected.
An undergraduate grade point average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or higher is expected, as well as an average of B or higher in chemistry and science courses.
Competitive GRE scores
For international students, we expect TOEFL scores of at least 100 with a speaking of at least 23, or IELTS of 7.0+, with a speaking of at least 7.0.

The priority date for Fall 2020 applications is December 15
