What will I learn?

The Catherine McAuley School of Nursing offers a 41-50 credit hour program leading to the Master of Science in Nursing. The graduate program offers the following concentrations: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In addition, the graduate program offers a post-Master’s certificate option in each of the Nurse Practitioner concentrations. Students in the certificate option will be advised on an individual basis regarding the required courses for their program. The curriculum is designed to provide maximum flexibility for part-time study with classes on-line.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing, the master’s degree in nursing, the Doctor of Nursing Practice and the post-graduate APRN certificates at Maryville University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Entry requirements

For international students

BSN degree from a regionally accredited institution and CCNE/ACEN/CNEA accredited nursing program
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all college work
Have at least one year of professional nursing experience
Hold current, unencumbered licensure as an RN in the U.S.
Official transcripts from every post-secondary school where a degree was earned and any graduate-level coursework

English Language Requirements:

TOEFL IBT 79 or higher (no subscore lower than 18). The test date must be within two years of application.

IELTS Score of 6.0 or higher (no subscore lower than 5.5). Test date must be within two years of application

PTE Academic Score of 54 or higher. The test date must be within two years of application.

DET Score of 105 or higher. The test date must be within one year of application.

Undergraduate degree earned in the United States.

Medium of instruction letters are only accepted for countries AACRAO identifies as a medium of instruction is English country.

From a country where English is the first and official language of the country and is noted in AACRAO.
