Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for a Curtin Canning College Science International Bursary: must be citizens of Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Zambia or Zimbabwe; must have met Curtin University and course academic and English language entry requirements; must be international, full fee-paying students, enrolled in a program of study through the Curtin Innovative Merit Scholarships; must have commenced a full undergraduate degree in Semester 1 at Curtin University, Western Australia; cannot be studying at Curtin via a sponsoring body; must not have received any credits for recognised learning (CRL); must achieved and maintain an ongoing course weighted average of 75 per cent or above.

DAAD University Winter Courses in Germany for Foreign Students and Graduatees

  • Applicants must have completed at least two years of study at the time of starting their funded stay.
  • The grant holder must be at least 18 years old when he/she starts the funded stay.

  • An applicant may only be considered once in any three consecutive years for a DAAD University Winter Course Grant.

2018 Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship

To be eligible for an RTP Stipend Scholarship, an applicant must :

  • Satisfy all academic entry requirements for a Masters by Research or a Research Doctorate, including the English proficiency levels set by Curtin University without concession, and
  • Be undertaking a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) or intending to commence a HDR course in Research Term 1, 2018
  • Be enrolled as a full-time, Internal, on campus student.  Approval may be given for a part-time award (for domestic students only) where an applicant is able to demonstrate compelling social reasons such as a medical condition or primary care commitments which would prevent full-time study.
  • not be receiving income from another source to support their general living costs while undertaking their course of study if that income is greater than 75 per cent of their RTP Stipend rate. Income unrelated to the Recipient’s course of study or income received for the Recipient’s course of study but not for the purposes of supporting general living costs is not to be taken into account.

2018 Curtin Strategic Stipend Scholarship

To be eligible for a Curtin Strategic Stipend Scholarship, an applicant must :

  • Satisfy all academic entry requirements for a Masters by Research or a Research Doctorate, including the English proficiency levels set by Curtin University without concession, and

ARC Linkage PhD Scholarships

This project aims to develop technologies for monitoring health of Australia's ageing infrastructure by a unique laser ultrasonic device.  Several vital improvements in the experimental setup will be made to suit inspection of structural materials and assemblies.  Pioneering experiments will be conducted using the laser device to develop a set of techniques for monitoring the critical areas of structures with most frequently observed ageing problems.  Precise estimates of damage will be made by processing signals from a combination of simulation and experimental modelling.
