PhD scholarship in Water Chemistry and Microbiology

Eligibility requirements

Candidate for this PhD scholarship is expected to:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree in Environmental science, Chemistry, Microbiology or relevant field at a high level (honours) of academic achievement;
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for research through their analytical and critical thinking skills;
  • Be able to work in a team setting and take responsibility for their individual tasks;
  • Be experienced in the use of digital technology and software packages;
  • Possess excellent spoken and written communications skills that may be evidenced, for example, through their undergraduate thesis/project work and presentations given; 
  • Practise well-developed time- and self-management skills with strong personal discipline and drive in their work.

Additionally, the applicant should:

  • Preferably have experience in Microbiology; and
  • Preferably have experience in Water Chemistry.

Meng Fei Innovative Future Leader Scholarship

2020 - MBA International Student Scholarship

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or 
  • Master of Business Administration Advance (MBA Advance) at Curtin Graduate School of Business

Students who will be commencing the above eligible courses in 2020 after completing a Graduate Certificate in Business are also eligible.

Eligibility criteria

All students applying for these scholarships should have received an offer into the MBA Program as Full Time Onshore International Students at Curtin Graduate School of Business and should have met all conditions mentioned in the offer letter.

  • Be an International student
  • Be a commencing student in 2020
  • Applying to study the MBA or MBA Advance at the Curtin Graduate School of Business
  • Will be enrolled as a full-time onshore international student (at least 75 credits) each trimester

2020 - Master of Management Scholarship

Value details

This scholarship will provide the following support for the expected duration of the Master of Management for up to a maximum of 2 years (based on a full-time load of 100 credits per semester): 30% of the student tuition fees of the Master of Management each semester. The fee component of the scholarship will be paid directly to the student fee account in two instalments per year to be paid prior to the census date relevant to each enrolled semester.

CSIRO Curtin University Digital Agriculture Scholarships

2019 PhD Scholarship - Innovative New Methods for Soil Organic Carbon Assessment and Monitoring

Eligibility requirements

Must hold a First or Upper Second-Class Bachelor’s degree (or its international equivalent), or a Master’s degree in a related science field (soil, agriculture, precision agriculture, ecology, environment) with a Merit and a minimum average grade of 60% and substantial research component. 

Must be highly motivated to learn and employ new quantitative methods in soil science (sampling designs, proximal and remote sensing, spectroscopy, spatial-temporal analyses, modelling) and must have a strong aptitude for statistical programming, for example using R, python; 

Must be able to think and work independently, at their desks, in the laboratory and in the field. They must also be personable and be willing to work in a collaborative team environment.

Proficiency in English is essential. They must have excellent written and communication skills and a strong aptitude for scientific writing and publication. 

Must not be engaged in full-time employment, or be subject to an obligation with another party to provide that party with any intellectual property rights during the course of their research studies. 

A good understanding of the soil carbon cycle is desirable.

Full tuition fees; Return air travel; Establishment allowance - a once only payment of AUD $5,000 as a contribution towards as accommodation expenses, text books, study materials. Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE) is a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by Australian Government.
