International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship

The Leicester Castle Business School has eight new International Postgraduate Taught Merit scholarships, for those international fee paying students who wish to study with us during the 2020/2021 session. These are available to international students who have excelled academically and have an offer of admission for one of our Leicester Castle Business School postgraduate taught degree programmes (excluding the Global MBA, which has its own specific scholarship). Successful applicants will also have a 1st Class or 2:1 degree or international equivalent qualification at a Distinction or Merit. Students awarded the scholarship will be notified in writing. The award of this scholarship is at the discretion of the selection panel and is subject to available funds. An offer of admission must have been received in order to be eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship is valid only for entry into the 2020/2021 intake – scholarships cannot be deferred by the applicant. Only full-time Leicester Castle Business School postgraduate taught applicants are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants who have already completed a postgraduate course with DMU will not be eligible for the scholarship. Distance learning and part-time students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Application details

All applications should be submitted by Midnight (GMT) 31st July 2020 for studies during the 2020/2021 study period. Successful recipients of the scholarship will be notified in writing no later than 17th August 2020. Please ensure that you have received an offer of admission before applying for this scholarship. To apply please send an email, with your statement attached, and ensure you include your name and contact details on the statement to pgbal@dmu.ac.uk. Please entitle the email ‘International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship’. The 1000 word statement should cover the following points: Why you feel you should be awarded the scholarship; How will a postgraduate degree at DMU help your development from an academic and personal perspective as well as from a career point of view; How you would make a positive contribution to Leicester Castle Business School both during and following your studies; and How a Leicester Castle Business School education would benefit you in the future?.

EDI Postgraduate Taught Scholarship

To qualify for the scholarship, you must: Hold an offer of admission from De Montfort University for a full time, postgraduate taught course starting September 2020; Successfully complete any English Language requirements; Be domiciled outside the UK, European Union or Schengen Area; Complete the online application form outlining how student will further EDI at DMU during their studies. The scholarship is valid only for entry into the September 2020 intake – scholarships cannot be deferred by the applicant.The students receiving this scholarship will not be eligible for any additional scholarships or discounts. If a student is also eligible for another scholarship, he or she will only receive the higher value scholarship. Distance learning and part time students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Application details

The closing date to apply for these scholarships is midnight on Friday 31 July 2020 for the September 2020 intake. For students arriving in January 2021, the closing date for the application form is Friday 27 November 2020. A selection committee will meet to select the recipients and all candidates will be notified of the outcome. Applications must be made through the online scholarship’s web form by midnight of the published closing date. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

Sustainability Scholarship

To qualify for the Sustainability scholarship, you must: Hold an offer of admission from De Montfort University for a full time, post-graduate taught course starting September 2020; successfully complete any English Language requirements; be domiciled outside the UK, European Union or Schengen Area; and complete the online application form. This scholarship is only available to students domiciled outside the UK, European Union or Schengen Area. The scholarship is valid only for entry into the September 2020 intake – scholarships cannot be deferred by the applicant.The students receiving this scholarship will not be eligible for any additional scholarships or discounts. If a student is also eligible for another scholarship, he or she will only receive the higher value scholarship. Distance learning and part time students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Global MBA International Scholarship Fund

Award of this scholarship is through an application and selection process, where you will need to provide a statement of no more than 1000 words, demonstrating your commitment to the DMU values. DMU Sports Scholarship

Student requirements

To qualify for the DMU Sport Scholarships you must: Be enrolled on an undergraduate, postgraduate taught or postgraduate research course during the academic year 2020/21; Compete at a high representative level*, and be able to demonstrate passion and commitment to your sport. Eligible students will be awarded up to £6,000 of support. This includes: A cash bursary of up to £4,000 and up to £2,000 towards sport- specific support including: Physiotherapy and Sports Coaching Specific Sports Coaching DMU Sport Scholar Kit Sport Specific Costs including entry fees and sport related memberships Plus, a host of elite performance support including: Personalized Strength and Conditioning training Educational Performance Workshops Nutrition, Psychology and Anti-Doping support Performance Lifestyle Support Gold membership at the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre

Three different scholarship packages are available with eligible students being awarded up to £6000 of support. A cash bursary of up to £4,000 and up to £2,000 towards sport-specific support.

DMU International Scholarship

Level of study

Postgraduate

Student requirements

To be eligible, an applicant must (i) have received an offer to study on a full-time course, starting in the current academic year; and (ii) have accepted their offer, and (iii) have paid the £4,000 tuition fee deposit to DMU. International Year Zero, International First Year and Incorporated Master’s applicants are not eligible for De Montfort University discounts or scholarships, but can apply for DMU International College awards. The scholarship is only available for courses that are taught on site at the DMU Leicester Campus. Interested applicants should contact DMU if they have any further queries.

Application details

Students can apply for the International Scholarship Award once they have received a conditional offer from DMU. This scholarship is for courses starting in September 2020. Successful scholarship recipients will be notified by email. Students awarded scholarships and discounts will have their awards applied automatically when they enrol.
