All Deakin University scholarships have eligibility criteria.

To be eligible you must:

  • be an Indian citizen living in Australia or India
  • meet the academic eligibility criteria.

Academic eligibility criteria

If your most recent academic results are from India:

  • an overall score between 65-74.9% in an undergraduate degree when applying for a postgraduate program, or
  • an overall score between 70-79.9% in the 12th standard (as specified by NOOSR) when applying for an undergraduate program.

If your most recent academic results are from Australia:

  • WAM 70-74.9 in your most recent academic studies.

All conditions must be met.  This scholarship is conditional on acceptance of terms and conditions which will be specified in the acceptance form.

Application details

Students who meet the eligibility criteria will automatically receive a 20% fee reduction to the total indicative tuition fee stated in the offer letter.

Deakin India 25 Per Cent Merit Scholarship

HDR Scholarship - Dose Response Effects of Fundamental Movement Skill Interventions on Motor Competence, Physical Activity

Applicants are required to meet the following additional entry requirements:

  • A minimum of a 2:1 first degree (second class honours upper division) in a relevant discipline/subject area with a minimum 70% mark in the project element or equivalent with a minimum 70% overall module average, and/or
  • A Masters Degree in a relevant subject area will be considered as an equivalent. The Masters must have been attained with overall marks at 70%. In addition, the dissertation or equivalent element in the Masters must also have been attained with a mark at 70%
  • The potential to engage in innovative research and to complete the PhD within a prescribed period of study.
  • Language proficiency (IELTS overall minimum score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component).
  • Essential to be able to physically locate to both Coventry University (England) and Deakin University (Australia).
  • Background in motor development, physical education or sport and exercise science will be highly regarded. Applicants with broader health degrees (e.g. health science, public health, health promotion, psychology) are also encouraged to apply.

Peddle Thorp Scholarship in Masters of Architecture

Eligibility requirements

Prospective candidates should ensure they meet all criteria before submitting their application. To be eligible you must:

  • be an International student
  • must have completed the Bachelor of Design (Architecture) or Bachelor of Design (Architecture)/Bachelor of Construction Management at Deakin University and be enrolling in the Master of Architecture (S700 or S701) in 2017

PhD Scholarship - Data to Decisions CRC – Scholarship in Law for Big Data Analytics

The D2D CRC's Law and Policy Research Program enables students to undertake law and socio-legal PhD studies relating to big data in the context of Australian national security.
