Deakin India 25 Per Cent Merit Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, the below criteria must be met:

  • Applicant should be an Indian citizen living in India
  • Applicant should be residing in India at the time of application
  • Applicant should be applying through any Deakin Authorised agent based in INDIA
  • Applicant should meet the below mentioned academic eligibility criteria

Academic eligibility criteria

  • An overall score of 75% and above in an undergraduate degree when applying for a postgraduate program, or
  • An overall score of 75% and above in the 12th standard (as specified by NOOSR) when applying for an undergraduate program.

All conditions must be met. This scholarship is conditional on acceptance of terms and conditions which will be specified in the acceptance form.

Continued eligibility is subject to maintaining a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65.

Application details

Students who meet the eligibility criteria will automatically receive a 25% fee reduction to the total indicative tuition fee stated in the offer letter.

Value details

25 per cent of the total indicative tuition fee stated on your offer letter. Payments will be applied to your fee record after each applicable census date.

  • Language proficiency (IELTS overall minimum score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component)
  • be able to physically locate to both Coventry University (England) and Deakin University (Australia).

Deakin Sanctuary Scholarships

Study level

Undergraduate

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must be:

  • an International student who holds a Temporary Protection visa (TPV) or a Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV) or be an asylum seeker on Bridging Visa A (BVA) or E (BVE)
  • a student commencing your on campus (located) studies in Trimester 1 2019 at Deakin University
  • studying full time in a bachelor degree
  • eligible for entry into a bachelor degree at Deakin University

Preference will be given to students undertaking their first undergraduate bachelor degree.

Students can apply directly to Deakin. As part of the application process, you will also be required to upload supporting documentation.

  • statement of recommendation from a school or community leader (not a family member)

Western Victoria Primary Health Network Nurse Practitioner Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

All Deakin University scholarships have eligibility criteria.

To be eligible you must:

  • be enrolled in H773 Masters of Nursing Practice (Nurse Practitioner) in Trimester 1 2019
  • be practicing in the Barwon South West region (you will need to be provide confirmation from your employer)
  • commit to selecting a speciality domain of practice that enables endorsed Nurse Practitioners to prescribe Schedule 8 opioid analgesics and work in a primary care/community care/general practice environment
  • commit to undertaking the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) approved Medication - Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence (MATOD) Module 1 (online) and Module 2 (face-to-face) training through Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) to gain expertise and competence as an opioid pharmacotherapy prescriber.

Priority will be given to:

  • nurses currently working in alcohol and other drug (AOD) service delivery and/ or Mental Health or
  • nurses who have a special interest in Medication - Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence (MATOD) prescribing and intend to continue working within the Barwon South West Region.

  • be experiencing an area of hardship that has adversely affected your studies.

Desirable:

  • ability to demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities relating to your development as a future professional architect.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview as part of the selection process.

Alumni Postgraduate Bursary

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the Deakin postgraduate alumni bursary applicants must be:

  • a Deakin alumnus OR
  • an ‘Immediate Family Member’

AND

  • be ‘Commencing Student’ of a postgraduate award course (either full time or part time, on-campus or online at the Cloud Campus)

AND

  • not a student enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP).

Application details

There is no application process. Your eligibility to receive the Deakin postgraduate alumni bursary will be assessed at the time of enrolment. If eligible, it will automatically be applied to your tuition fees.

Value details

15% reduction per unit on your enrolment fees on your postgraduate award course at Deakin University.
