Studying in the United States can be very costly. Therefore it is important for students to know the financial aspect of studying abroad. There are two types of Universities in the US, the state and the private. There is a significant difference when it comes to the cost of studying in a public university and a private university.
Here Biruda Virkud of iGrad Global, talks about the cost of studying in the US, which is a serious concern for students looking forward for an admission in top universities. In the United States, typically there are two types of universities, the private universities and the state universities. In many countries people prefer to study in state universities or public universities than private universities as they feel that public ones are the best. But in the United States private universities and state universities are considered to be equal. Many private universities like Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology provide world class education and are considered to be the topmost universities in the US. Michigan State University, North Carolina State University are some of the best state universities to mention.
According to Biruda Vikrud, a master’s program in the United States would cost up to 25 lakhs i.e. 50 thousand US dollars while an MBA degree from an elite university would cost up to 40 lakhs. PhD programmes are often funded by the universities for students.
“Private universities give you so much more than state universities. So it comes along with a cost tag” says Biruda Vikrud.
From the above information it can be inferred that studying in a private university is more expensive than a state university.
