Hi Yogan, You can apply for a visa to New Zealand even after a 10 year gap, provided you can show credible information about what you have been doing all along. It could be work or project or legal business or whatever you have done in the last 10years, if you can prove certification, New Zealand High commission will consider it. Any gap of more than 6 months where you have been idel is definitely a negative. In general, New Zealand High Commission does a Telephonic interview and so you get an opportunity to explain your stance. Applying to a relevent program in New Zeland and to a good college or University is also paramount to prove that you are not trying to migrate to New Zealand.  All the best.
