To apply for the GMIT Sports Scholarship programme athletes / applicants must fulfil the eligibility criteria listed below: Students must meet the GMIT admission requirements through the CAO system and must have registered on a programme of academic study at GMIT; compete and perform at International, National, Inter-provincial, Inter-county and/or Senior Club level; commit to an appropriate level of commitment to your club at GMIT and represent the Institute in intervarsity and other competitions and/or training; commit to making a contribution to the administration, coaching, promotion and development of the GMIT club.
Awards range from Euro 1000 - 1500
Scholarships are available for Non-EU students. If you are a Non-EU student thinking of applying to study in GMIT then you may qualify for a scholarship in recognition of your English language attainment, your country of origin, or both.
Up to a 30% discount off the quoted fee
GMIT awards academic scholarships annually to first year students based on academic merit. The recipients are those who have achieved the highest Leaving Certificate points in their particular School or campus of GMIT. Two first year mature students are also selected to receive a scholarship. Following registration the students are selected and the scholarships are awarded to the successful students in November each year.
Those interested are invited to apply in writing (once registered) during the first semester to their school/campus.
