The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology was established in 2009 after the merger of the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH and the Universität Karlsruhe (TH). Informally known as KIT, the Institute is known for its high-quality accredited programmes in science, engineering and computing.
