To be eligible students must:

  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan or Bangladesh, subject to satisfying all appropriate entry requirements for the proposed degree program, including results of previous study and English language proficiency as per Griffith University's postgraduate entry requirements.
  • Be commencing and enrolling as a new a full-time student in a postgraduate coursework degree in Trimester 1, 2 or 3 2019 at Griffith University.

Application details

No scholarship application is required. Griffith International will identify eligible students at the time of assessment for entry into postgraduate coursework programs.

Value details

Scholarship covers 10% of tuition fees in the first two trimesters of study.

Deans Sir Samuel Griffith and Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarships

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder, Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen or International student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia
  • be a student commencing University for the first time
  • have not undertaken/commenced any tertiary study (Bachelor award), with the exception of those undertaken as part of year 11-12 studies (eg. enhanced studies program)
  • have applied to commence at Griffith University in 2019
  • meet the eligibility criteria for a degree program and receive and accept an admission offer
  • achieve a result which places you in the range of the OP band 1-3, including International Baccalaureate (IB) or an equivalent Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) (Bonus ranks do not apply)
  • current year 12 school leavers: for Deans Sir Samuel need to have Griffith University listed as their first or second QTAC/UAC preference
  • current year 12 school leavers: will be required to upload a copy of your OP/ATAR/IB results (we are aware that this may be after the closing date)

Completion Assistance Postgraduate Research Scholarship

Study level

Postgraduate

Eligibility requirements

Scholarships will be available only to those who:

  • Are enrolled in a higher degree research doctoral program at Griffith University and are able to enrol full-time for the duration of the scholarship
  • Have completed a minimum of 24 months full-time equivalent (FTE) enrolment
  • Will not be in receipt of any other full living allowance stipend during the tenure of the scholarship
  • Have sufficient effective full-time candidature remaining to complete their thesis within the tenure of the scholarship and before their maximumsubmission date
  • Have not received an extension to their maximum submission date.

Application details

Higher Degree Research candidates wishing to apply for the Completion Assistance Postgraduate Research Scholarship should complete and submit the application form (with supporting documentation and signatures from their principal supervisor, HDR Convenor and Head of Element/Financial Delegate) via myGriffith>My Research>My Candidate Centre.

Value details

50% of the scholarship value will be borne by the candidate's Element or Group. The period of tenure of a scholarship will be up to 12 weeks, paid as three lump sum payments.

Publication Assistance Scholarship Scheme

Study level

Eligibility requirements

Scholarships will be available only to those who:

  • were enrolled in a higher degree doctoral research program at Griffith University.
  • have submitted their thesis or have an approved intended submission date (via the Notice of Intention to Submit Thesis Form). The scholarship must commence within four weeks of the thesis submission date.
  • are able to devote sufficient time to writing up the publication for the duration of the scholarship (equivalent to full-time enrolment); and
  • where submission of the thesis has occurred/will occur within three and a half years full-time equivalent (FTE) enrolment; and
  • where the publication rule for thesis submission has been met.

Candidates who submit their thesis under the lapsed candidature regulations, or have previously been in receipt of a Completion Assistance Postgraduate Research Scholarship (CAPRS) are ineligible.

Application details

Higher degree research candidates wishing to apply for the Publication Assistance Scholarship Scheme should complete and submit the application form(with supporting documentation and signatures from their principal supervisor, HDR Convenor and Head of Element/Financial Delegate) viamyGriffith > My Research > My Candidate Centre.

It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the application form is fully completed - including all signatures - prior to submitting the application via myGriffith.

Glycomics Circle Honours Scholarship

  • meet the eligibility requirements for entry into an Honours program offered by the Science or Health groups and be undertaking a research project within the Institute for Glycomics
  • provide information relating to a specific research topic/project you will undertake and have the topic/project approved by the relevant staff member of the Institute for Glycomics prior to submitting the application. A full list of research projects is available by email, or discuss with potential supervisor
  • be female
  • be enrolled full-time
  • not be in receipt of other scholarship funding

The Personal Statement should be between 250 and 500 words.

Griffith International Distinction Scholarships

Griffith International will identify eligible students in their second last trimester prior to graduation of undergraduate study and provide a written offer of scholarship subject to achieving a cumulative GPA of 6.0 or above.

To be eligible students must:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  • Be existing students at Griffith University completing a bachelor degree.
