The academic standard is much, much higher than any other state school I know, making it one of the best schools in the nation.

Mines is an excellent school which provides one of the best technical education in the nation. The workload is tough and challenging. On the whole I would recommend anyone interested in a technical education to strongly consider the Colorado School of Mines, especially if you are not from Colorado.
