Trinity College Dublin is ranked as Ireland’s leading university (QS 2020; THE 2019). Founded in the year 1592, it is ranked 108th in the world (QS 2020) and 1st in Europe for creating entrepreneurs for the sixth consecutive year (Pitchbook Universities Report).

Trinity College Dublin is continually renewing the programmes that it offers at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, across many fields including business, law, engineering, science, arts and the humanities.
The college has recently developed a new joint Honours Degree which combines the subjects of computer science and geography, in order to deliver a challenging and innovative learning pathway for the environmental pioneers of tomorrow. Trinity College Dublin has also recently launched an Environmental Science & Engineering integrated degree. In addition, the university has launched a number of new programmes to the Columbia University Dual BA programme, in conjunction with Columbia University in New York, USA. Classes are in the form of lectures, tutorials and practicals. Lecture theatres can hold over 150 people, and small group tutorials can have around 15–20 students. Some courses have fewer students in each class, and modules in the third and fourth years of study can be much smaller. Tutorials are more informal and allow discussion and collaboration.
Courses are designed in light of university research and the needs of the world, and students are given the opportunity to specialise in the final years of their studies. This includes the option to pursue an individual research project.

Trinity International Foundation Programme is a 1-year pre-university programme. Students who successfully complete the International Foundation Programme and reach the required grades gain entry to the first year of undergraduate degrees at Trinity.
