Student requirements

International students (classified as 'overseas fee paying') who previously participated in a Study Abroad, International Summer School, or Exchange programme at Kingston University and are now returning to do a full-time Postgraduate degree course. Please note that preparation courses, such as pre-sessional English or short courses, are not eligible (if you have taken a preparation course, you cannot use this to claim the bursary).

Application details

Eligible students can apply after they fully complete enrolment. Download Application form from My Kingston (the student intranet): My Kingston > International students > International loyalty bursaries Submit Application form to International Office with Academic transcript/certificate from your Kingston University Study Abroad, Exchange or International summer school programme. If approved, your final tuition fee instalment will be reduced by the value of the discount (or refunded in the case of full tuition fee payment). For the academic year 2019/20 (including September 2019, January 2020, and March 2020 intakes), you must submit your application by 15 May 2020.

Postgraduate Progression Scholarship

Student requirements

Students will be eligible, if at the time of applying, they have attained a qualifying bachelor's degree in 2019/20 which has been awarded by Kingston University – or St. George's University of London as part of a programme undertaken within the Joint Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education – and they meet the entry criteria for the postgraduate course* at Kingston University commencing in the academic year 2020/21. Architecture students completing the architecture bachelor's degree who progress to a year out in industry before then commencing the MArch Architecture will still be eligible for the 15% discount. Students who have completed a Kingston University degree at a partner institution will qualify for the discount provided the degree awarded was a Kingston University bachelor's degree and was completed in 2019/20. This Scholarship is inclusive of any alumni or loyalty discounts that may offered by Kingston University, including faculty, department or school discounts that may be available and may not be combined with any other such scholarship or discount. The scholarship will be available to students who enrol either full-time or part-time on a postgraduate course which is classified as either a taught or research degree including MRes and MPhil or PhD. PhD students will qualify for the 15% Progression Scholarship on their first year's fees when enrolling in 2020/21; the standard alumni discount of 10% may be claimed for each subsequent year of study in enrolment.

International Scholarships

You can apply for an International Scholarship if you meet all of the following criteria: you are an international student (classified as 'overseas fee status'); you have an offer to study Postgraduate degree course (September intake only); you are not currently enroled on a Kingston University course. International Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the following: Academic merit (your previous grades); What you expect to gain from your Kingston degree course; What you expect to do after you complete your Kingston degree (future goals).
